Fickle, fast, skatepark, hollow, shallow, rippy, bowly – all of the above.

Straight hander at times, crowded, peak goes deep, then wide, then in the middle.

Chocolate coloured with massive flotsom & jetsom after heavy rain – make sure you don’t drink the water – some farmer liquid in amonsgt it.

Breaks beyond the poles, salmon traps exposed like teeth on the drop gurgling below. – ‘ Shark Bru’!!

Two hours either side of high but we all try and get in sometimes before to sneak a few waves before the hordes come in.

Better shape on the drop, spring tides kill the mood as it zooms over the shelf, neap tides not enough water moving to sculpt the shape.

Crowd paddling out from the harbour, oh they’re moving on to Blacklands phew, hmm not my favorite choice.
Poles to the left of me, poles to the right (well only if you’re paddling out between them)

Has the rebuild of the salmon traps and then recent dredging of river channel effected the quality of the wave.. maybe but then the magic seems to appear still with no rhyme or reason.
Either way its still my favorite wave and keeps me frothing whenever its on.

Say what?
